Joanna Cameron is a Sydney-based Cinematographer working across narrative, documentary and commercial projects.

A graduate of the Australian Film Television and Radio School’s Master of Cinematography program, Joanna was the recipient of the 2023 Emerging Cinematographer Award at the National ACS Awards and a Silver NSW ACS Award winner.

With a story-first approach, Joanna is drawn to projects that encourage empathy and connection, and offer opportunities for bold creative expression. Whether working in scripted, documentary or commercial spaces, her focus is always on creating imagery that feels authentic, emotive and grounded in character.

Beyond filmmaking, Joanna is an avid landscape photographer, hiker, painter and dancer, continually inspired by movement, light, learning and the natural world.
